AI search readiness
Snippet controls
Why it matters
Directives such as nosnippet or max-snippet:0 stop search engines from showing text from your page – including in AI Overviews and answer engines.
How to fix it
- Remove nosnippet or restrictive max-snippet values unless you deliberately want to hide snippets.
Check it with
- Meta Tags Analyzer – Check the title, description, robots, canonical and every other meta tag on a page.
- AI Search Readiness Checker – Check if ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI can access, read and quote your page.
Scoring: a passed check earns its full weight, a warning half and an error none. How the SEO score works
