llms.txt Generator
Draft an llms.txt file summarising your site’s key pages for AI tools.
About the llms.txt Generator
llms.txt is a proposed convention (from llmstxt.org) for a Markdown file at /llms.txt that gives large language models a concise map of your site: what it is, plus links to its most important pages with one-line descriptions. Some AI tools and coding assistants read it; Google has said it does not use it for Search.
It costs little to publish, so it can be a reasonable extra for documentation sites, SaaS products and content-rich sites. This generator reads your homepage, follows its main internal links (respecting robots.txt) and drafts the file with titles and descriptions grouped into sections. Edit it to highlight what matters most, then upload it to your site root.
Frequently asked questions
Is llms.txt an official standard?
No. It is a community proposal. Support varies between AI tools, and it does not affect Google rankings.
Is llms.txt the same as robots.txt?
No. robots.txt controls crawler access; llms.txt is an optional summary that helps AI tools find your best content.
What should I include?
A clear one-paragraph description of your site and links to your most useful, evergreen pages – documentation, key products or services, and cornerstone guides.
