Structured Data Validator
Extract and check JSON-LD and microdata schema on a page, or paste code to test.
About the Structured Data Validator
Structured data is code, usually JSON-LD, that labels the content of a page using the shared schema.org vocabulary: “this is a Product with this price”, “this is an Article by this author”, “this is a local business at this address”. Search engines use it to understand pages precisely and to show rich results such as review stars, FAQ dropdowns, breadcrumbs and product prices. AI assistants also read it to identify entities.
This validator finds every JSON-LD block and microdata item on a page (or tests code you paste), reports syntax errors that would make Google ignore it, and checks the most common types for their recommended properties. For final confirmation of rich result eligibility, also run Google’s Rich Results Test.
Frequently asked questions
JSON-LD, microdata or RDFa – which should I use?
Google recommends JSON-LD. It sits in a single script block, is easy to maintain and does not tangle with your HTML.
Does structured data improve rankings?
It is not a direct ranking factor, but rich results stand out and usually earn more clicks. It also helps search engines and AI tools understand your content accurately.
Why is my valid schema not showing rich results?
Valid markup makes a page eligible, not guaranteed. Google also considers content quality, policies and whether rich results suit the query. Some types, like FAQ and HowTo, are now shown only for limited kinds of sites.
