About the Favicon Generator
A complete favicon set needs several files: favicon.ico for browsers and Google, a 180×180 px Apple touch icon for iPhone and iPad home screens, 192 and 512 px icons for Android and installable web apps, and a web manifest that lists them – plus the right tags in your HTML.
Upload one square image (a PNG or SVG logo works best, at least 512 px) and this generator creates every file in your browser: a multi-size favicon.ico with 16, 32 and 48 px images, the Apple touch icon, the Android icons and site.webmanifest. Choose a background and padding, preview the results and download everything as one ZIP file, together with the HTML to paste into your <head>. Your image is never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
What image should I use?
A square logo or symbol, ideally a PNG with a transparent background or an SVG, at least 512×512 px. Simple shapes stay recognisable at 16 px; detailed logos and long text do not.
Where do I upload the files?
Upload them to the root of your website (the same folder as your home page) and paste the HTML into the <head> of every page – or into your theme or CMS settings.
Why is the Apple icon not transparent?
iOS shows transparent areas as black, so the generator fills the Apple touch icon with your background colour (white if you chose transparent).
