Website Uptime Monitor
Check if a website is up right now and get an email the moment it goes down.
About the Website Uptime Monitor
Every minute your website is down you lose visitors, sales and trust – and search engines that find it down repeatedly may crawl it less. Often the owner is the last to know. An uptime monitor checks your website around the clock and tells you as soon as it stops working.
Run a check here to see whether a site is up right now, its HTTP status, response time and SSL certificate expiry. Then turn on monitoring with a free account: we check your website every few minutes from our server, confirm a failure with a second check so you do not get false alarms, and email you when it goes down and again when it is back, with how long it was down. Your account shows the uptime percentage for the last 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days, response time charts and a list of every incident.
Frequently asked questions
How often is my website checked?
Every few minutes, depending on your plan. When a check fails we re-check within a minute before sending an alert, so a single slow response does not wake you up.
What counts as down?
No answer within 30 seconds, a connection or SSL error, or an HTTP error status of 400 or higher. You can also enter a word that must appear on the page, to catch error pages that still return 200.
Do I get an email when the site is back?
Yes. You get one email when the website goes down and another when it recovers, including how long the downtime lasted.
Is this the same as the SEO monitoring?
No. SEO monitoring re-audits your site every week and reports changes in the SEO score. Uptime monitoring only checks whether the site is reachable, but much more often.
